Dedicated Craig relishes opportunity to succeed

The joint venture between Be Franchising and VIP Bin Cleaning continue to move forward with three operators already launched and a further already planned. The third operation has been launched in Derwentside and the operator is Craig Richardson.

Craig attended the initial presentation in Shildon which was presented by Paul Balmont of Be Franchising and Mark Harvey of VIP Bin Cleaning where they explained the opportunity to an audience of prospective operators. From this presentation a short list of suitable applicants was put together who were then interviewed on a one to one basis. From this short list Craig was selected and he spent a full day at the VIP head office in Norfolk where he met the VIP support team and got a full understanding of the business. After this day Craig was selected as the new operator for Derwentside and the following week he returned to Norfolk and completed an intense training course.

The new business was launched on Monday 22nd June and the early signs are they are going to achieve record sales and growth on the first week of the launch. Craig commented: “I never thought I would get an opportunity like this and I am determined not to waste it. The help and support I have received from Be Franchising and VIP has been fantastic and I am going to make sure I succeed. I am under no illusion that it is going to be hard work but with the support of Be Franchising and VIP and with my total dedication I am sure I can make it work. I would recommend anyone who has an opportunity like this to take it and grab it with both hands. I am now so excited about my future that I cannot believe the turnaround in my life within the last few weeks when I did not even have a job let alone an opportunity to build and then own my own franchise.”

The interest in the North East about the project has certainly gained momentum with 90 candidates putting their names forward to be considered for the next opportunity which is Gateshead. Paul Balmont explained “As word has spread about what we are doing and the opportunity it gives people we have seen a significant growth in the numbers of people putting their names forward to be considered. Gateshead has attracted 90 enquiries and we are only able to give one of these people the opportunity but it gives us confidence that the message is getting out there and people are interested in what we are trying to do.”

The growing team at Be Franchising

Mark Harvey commented: “the last few months have been very difficult in getting the processes and systems in place and then getting the message out in the North East but we are now seeing the rewards for our efforts. The high number of applicants proves we are gradually getting the message out there. It is hard work but when we come across someone like Craig it makes it all worthwhile. Here is someone who would never normally have the opportunity of owning his own franchise, and to see him fully understand and appreciate the opportunity we have given him makes it very rewarding.”

Be Franchising has recently employed Graham Mylchreest who will manage the day to day running of the business and their operators and staff. Graham comes with a wealth of franchise experience which will add even more value to the project.

The aim of Be Franchising is to prove the model works with VIP Bin Cleaning and then use this experience and knowledge to add other brands to their project. Other Franchisors have shown a keen interest and Be Franchising does not think it will be too long before they add a name or two of other franchisors to their list.
